Skin examination
Our Doctor's use the latest technology to visualise and diagnose moles and other lesions on your skin. Digital epiluminescence light microscopy allows the Doctor to perform a very high resolution examination of your skin and to record the images if necessary for later comparison.
Modesty
While we appreciate the importance of your modesty it is also important that we do not miss any abnormal skin lesions. To this end we request that patients leave their underwear on, but remove all other clothes. The Doctor will examine your skin from your toes to your head. If you decide not to have a complete examination, then we will also respect your decision in this regard and examine only those areas which you request.
Spot checks
If you have a specific lesion of concern you can request a 'spot check'. These appointments can be fitted in more urgently to alleviate your concerns but your Doctor may not have time for a complete skin check during these appointments.
